The Executive M.B.L.-HSG bases on the concept of ‘flying classrooms’, the candidates meet approximately every two months in a different city and country. The Executive M.B.L-HSG can be completed within the regular 18-month-framework or within twelve months (the so-called Sabbatical). In addition to the nine modules, candidates have the opportunity to add another module (which is not included and fee-based) at the Harvard Law School. The additional module focuses on the Harvard concept of “Getting to Yes” which enhances the candidates’ skills in analysis, preparation and negotiation based on the praised approach of the school.
The candidates have international backgrounds and on average seven years of practical experience in different legal and non-legal professions. The same level of internationality is true for the Executive M.B.L.-HSG’s professors, lectors and guest lectors. The school is proud of its two-fold access to practical solutions to real world problems along with offering profound theoretical framework. The modules consist of lectures, course work (individual and team work) and require around 30-40 hours of preparation for which the material is provided online on an I-Pad compatible learning platform. Exams alternate between written, oral, individual presentations and teamwork. They are held at the end of each attendance module.
