The European College of Business and Management (ECBM) was set up in 1988 as Higher Education and Training Institute of the German-British Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK) in London. The business college is unique in providing a British MBA to Germans since the school’s main target group are German professionals who wish to promote their careers with an MBA in English. The programme is carried out via the concept of ‘Blended Learning’, which combines virtual distance learning with compulsory teaching sessions in Germany and the UK. Up to now, around 300 students have graduated with an MBA degree from the ECBM. Tuition fees are deductible from German Income Tax. The ECBM provides the internationally accredited business and management programmes in cooperation with the Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), which awards the MBA degree.
