Hybrid, Part-Time MBA at WFI – Ingolstadt School of Management, KU

The new Hybrid, Part-Time MBA at the WFI – Ingolstadt School of Management is a program for working professionals who aim to address and master the key challenges of digitization, global competitiveness, growth strategies, and business resilience. This unique MBA program will equip managers and future business leaders with the essential skills for future success.

The program can be completed Part-Time (blended learning) in four semesters and 90 ECTS points, and participants will receive a university degree in Master of Business Administration (MBA). The language of instruction in this internationally oriented degree program is English. This program features two exclusive, in-person business immersions – one in the Silicon Valley (USA) and one in Germany – built around essential themes and challenges for today’s business, including innovation, digitalisation, and global competitiveness. In the Silicon Valley immersion, participants will visit five cutting edge companies of different sizes, industries and life-stages of digitalization, and learn from senior business executives of those organizations. This will be accompanied by lectures on how to successfully re-invent current business models, transform organizations through digitalization, and scale up innovations. In the Germany immersion, participants will experience the “living business lab” of cutting edge companies that have succeeded in achieving global expansion and growth, learn from senior business executives on how to grow globally and achieve long-term, sustainable competitiveness.

This Part-Time MBA program will enable students to accelerate their career, and open up a wide range of future career opportunities in management. With the degree, graduates will demonstrate improved ability to lead people and manage products and processes within your current organization, as well as the ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives for your current organization. In addition, this degree can open up a variety of management and leadership positions in various industries and organizations.

This English-language MBA program is aimed at working professionals (senior or junior managers) and executives from all sectors and organizations as well as self-employed individuals and entrepreneurs. A previous degree in business administration is not required.

Students are offered an orientation session. This provides them with a detailed presentation of the four semesters and introduces them to all professors. In addition, students will be offered exclusive networking and mentoring opportunities, as well as development of communication and teamwork skills.

The Hybrid, Part-Time MBA is a general management program for ambitious young professionals who wish to unlock their full potential and become top-level managers and executives. The program is international student friendly, since all modules are taught in English. The four-semster MBA for Working Professionals has an innovative Hybrid format – participants will be able to take advantage of 4 weekends of on-campus classroom instructions (Fr. & Sa.) and 4 weekends of online lectures each semester (Fr. & Sa.) – providing maximum flexibility in their time schedules and allowing for an excellent work-life-study balance. Formal requirements for the application

1. First higher education degree - A level of competence of an internationally recognized first academic degree (undergraduate degree) in any discipline qualifying for admission to a profession or equivalent admission requirements (e.g. B.Sc. | B.A. | B.B.A. | B.Ed. | B.Eng. | LL.B. | or equivalent).

2. First postgraduate working experience of at least 2 years - A qualified professional experience of not less than two years in management, planning and control tasks after completion of the first university course in private or public enterprises, associations, administrations or church institutions.

3. Fluency in English (C1) - English language skills must be proven prior to the start of the first semester of the MBA program. Accepted evidence:

  • TOEFL iBT: 90 or above
  • IELTS: 6.5 or above
  • Cambridge Certificate: C1 Advanced

Other English language certificates may be submitted. The Selection Committee will inform each applicant whether the submitted certificates are sufficient, or if the applicant must provide one of the three listed above.

4. German language skills (A2) - Proof of German language proficiency at a level of at least A2 (European Framework of Reference) is accepted in one of the following ways: German "Abitur", a Goethe A2 Certificate, or an equivalent Certificate. The German language skills must be proven by the end of the second semester, and until then, matriculation is subject to providing the required proof.

Which languages must an applicant be able to speak?
